Sometimes, Artec Studio can fail to launch without any error messages or other obvious signs of problems. This issue is usually observed as follows:
- you attempt to launch Artec Studio by double-clicking the applicable icon on your desktop
- Artec Installation Center's splash screen is briefly visible
- Artec Studio does not launch, there are no error messages
- sometimes, you might notice the Artec Studio temporarily appearing in the running processes, using Windows Task Manager
This issue could be caused by one of two things: a) corrupt studio config file or b) unsupported video card/video card drivers.
To resolve this issue please attempt the following:
a) Remove the studio.conf file located at %appdata%\Artec\[Artec Studio main version]\[Artec Studio exact version], attempt to launch the Artec Studio one more time.
b) Verify that your video card is supported by Artec Studio. More information can be found in this article. Attempt to update or downgrade your video card drivers. We recommend using the driver's version provided by the computer manufacturer and usually available in the applicable downloads section on the manufacturer's website.
