We have received a number of customer inquiries about power bank compatibility, and whether it is possible to use the cable supplied with an Artec 3D battery to connect your Artec scanner to a third-party power bank.
Below you will find two important guidelines about the use of third-party power banks, followed by a couple of examples of compatible devices:
- A number of power banks allow switching between different output voltages.
It is crucial to set the output voltage to 12V before plugging in the scanner!
Failure to do so may result in serious damage to the scanner's electronics.
- The power bank should have a compatible output port, identical to the one on the regular Artec 3D battery.
We at Artec occasionally use the Rombica NEO PRO-280 (28000 mAh) power bank:
Furthermore, our customers have reported the POWERADD Pilot Pro2 (23000 mAh) as a working solution: https://www.amazon.com/POWERADD-Pilot-23000mAh-External-Smartphones/dp/B015OAJFOC/
