Hardware requirements

  • You will need USB 2.0 port for such scanner; correct performance with USB 3.0 is not guaranteed.
  • In can you are aiming to use this scanner under Windows 8, 8.1 or 10, check this article for more information. Normally we recommend to use such 3D scanner only under Windows 7.

Compatibility information

  • In case you are using older version (Artec Studio 9 or 10), feel free to run the corresponding installer file, it will automatically install drivers for these scanners on your PC.
  • The latest version Artec Installation Center (application that manages scanners and software licenses on a local PC) does not install drivers for these scanners by default. They should be installed manually using the instruction below.
  • Artec Studio 11 and 12 do not install drivers for these scanners by default. Again, they should be installed manually using the instruction below.
  • The next version of Artec Studio (13) will not support these scanners at all.

Artec Studio 11

If you are willing to use a discontinued scanner of these series in Artec Studio 11, then follow these steps:

  • Open folder C:\Program Files\Artec\Artec Studio 11 Professional or C:\Program Files\Artec\Artec Studio 11 Ultimate.
  • Unpack two other DLL files there (archive to_AS.zip is attached the article, scroll to the end of the page to download it).
  • Make sure that your scanner is shown in Artec Installation Center either with "Activated" or "Rented" status. If it is not, then follow any of two methods in section "Driver installation instructions" to install the drivers additionally.
  • Run Artec Studio 11, you should see your scanner as connected in section "Scan".
