When 3D Systems Design X is installed on a PC with NVIDIA Quadro, then sometimes it is recommended to set some particular parameters in NVIDIA Control Panel to utilize the maximum performance of a Quadro video card.
Artec Studio 12 provides a direct transfer of 3D meshes into Design X, so it is often installed on the same PC and utilizes the same NVIDIA Quadro preset. That's why our team has tested all Artec Studio algorithms that are actively using a video card (3D-rendering of large data sets, real-time fusion scanning mode, texture mapping) with this preset. Overall we can confirm that Artec Studio 12 works great with it, so feel free to modify NVIDIA Control Panel settings on your PC in the way it is described below.
1. Adjust image settings with preview
Select "Use the advanced 3D image settings" option as it is shown on the screenshot:
2. Manage 3D settings - Global Settings
Choose Dassault Systemes CATIA - compatible in "Global presets", then select High-performance NVIDIA processor in "Preferred graphics processor" (the last option is available only if there is a combination of Intel and NVIDIA cards on your PC):
3. Manage 3D settings - Program Settings
Select 3D Systems Geomagic Solutions via "Add" button and choose Prefer maximum performance in "Power management mode":
4. Inside Design X itself switch Hardware Multi-thread Rendering Support in Preferences to "True".
